La plupart d&rsquo;entre nous savent qu&rsquo;il faut garder une m\u00eame polarisation entre deux antennes&#8230;mais pourquoi ?<\/p>\n<p>Les courants circulant dans les brins de l&rsquo;antenne produisent un champ magn\u00e9tique autour de chacun des conducteurs. Les diff\u00e9rences de potentiel existant entre les deux brins du dip\u00f4le provoquent l&rsquo;apparition d&rsquo;un champ \u00e9lectrique. Les variations extr\u00eamement rapides et les inversions de sens de ces courants et tensions engendrent une propagation que l&rsquo;on connait sous le nom d&rsquo;onde \u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tique. Une onde \u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tique est ainsi compos\u00e9e de deux champs indissociables : un champ \u00e9lectrique et un champ magn\u00e9tique qui sont perpendiculaires l&rsquo;un \u00e0 l&rsquo;autre. Ces deux champs sont \u00e9galement perpendiculaires \u00e0 la direction de propagation des ondes.<\/p>\n<p>Ainsi, une antenne doit \u00eatre orient\u00e9e dans le sens de polarisation de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie re\u00e7ue, sans quoi elle n&rsquo;en capterait qu&rsquo;une partie. Voil\u00e0 pourquoi il faut placer deux antennes dans le m\u00eame sens de polarisation.<\/p>\n<p>La grande majorit\u00e9 des antennes WiFi que nous rencontrons sont polaris\u00e9es verticalement ou horizontalement.
